What is that I see before me, poor Yorick? Why it looks like the two Bennies being projected onto Daz-white laundry that is hanging in some art gallery. What could it be?Well… as a bit of a sideline Roundeye project, an image of the two Bennies (Ben Barton & Jennifer Harris) was used as part of ‘My T-Shirt Says’, an art installation at the London Word Festival.
Held on Mother’s Day last March, the event “snatched text from people’s T-shirts and used it to create found poems for an image-sound-word installation and performance”. Phew!
Big thanks to Karen McCarthy, the artist behind this project. Her published poem was based on Benny B’s ‘XYZ Generation’ t-shirt, which surely has a few moth bites by now…
